RYA and BCU Lifeguards First Aid Training & Sports First Aid courses

Mark is very active in Aquatic First Aid training, he is a Level 3 Canoe Coach and holds several other water activity qualifications. RTA is a Royal Yachting Association Recognised Teaching Establishment offering RYA First Aid training. RYA First Aid courses are based on recommendations from the HSE and Marine & Coastguard Agency. This one day qualification is necessary to maintain your Yachtmaster or Dinghy Instructor qualification. It also meets the needs of British Canoe Union (BCU) Level 3 Coaches and Scout Permits. Typical cost �59, including full colour St John / Red Cross manual and certificate.

To compliment this RTA also offers the BCU Lifeguards Aquatic First Aid Level One Courses. Which are specifically aimed at the canoeing fraternity, including up to Level 3 Coach. This course is completed during a one day session. Typical costs including full First Aid Made Easy manual and certificate: (�54 BCU members) (�57 non-BCU members).

The 4 hr Primary First Aid can also be offered please contact to discuss.

Well known centres charge �75 or more for the same courses so the RTA courses represent real value for money, particularly considering the current manual is included. Book a course at your venue now! Get four people together you may have enough for a group booking email for details.

	The Martial Arts - First Aid Appointed Person Award has been produced by the The Swimming Teachers Association in conjunction with a number of Martial Arts governing bodies.

	The Netball Coach - Sports First Aid Appointed Person Award has been produces by Safety Training Awards (STA) for England Netball, Welsh Netball and Netball Scotland.
	The Ice Skating - First Aid Appointed Person Award has been jointly produced by the National Ice Skating Association of UK Ltd and The Swimming Teachers Association.

Jan 2-12 RTA have just run a Pool Attendant course for 8 staff at Wirral Autistic Society.

Jan 2012 RTA have been delivering Level 2 Health & Safety courses at Elior Catering, Bentley Motors Crewe.

November 2012: RTA has just run a PTLLS course for Health & Safety Professionals from Morris & Spottiswood building company. Further news this month we can now also offer PTLLS at Level 4 via HABC.

Oct 2011: This month RTA have run another PTLLS course in Warrington.

Sept 2011 Congratulations to the 11 staff at Kingsmead School, Wirral who have completed their STA Pool Safety Award

August 2011 Congratulations to the newly qualified Pool Lifeguards & first Aiders that RTA has just taught at Sir John Deane's Leisure Centre, Northwich.

June 2011 RTA has been through a CIEH Audit and has achieved 100% compliance with the CIEH standards as a registered centre.

RTA Has been working with Warrington Borough Council to provide First Aid at Work training.

RTA have been delivering a number of First Aid courses for Warrington and Halton NHS Foundation Trust at their Runcorn Training Centre.

RTA is working with Northwich Education Improvement Partnership to provide training in First Aid in Cheshire, i.e. delivering First Aid at Work and Paediatric First Aid in Northwich schools in 2011.

For several years RTA has been providing First Response courses for the Scout Association and Girl Guiding.

December - January 2011. We are working with the Skills Construction Centre in Kirkham, Lancashire to provide them with PTLLS trainer qualifications., now all qualified.

November 2010 The UK Resuscitation Council has published new Basic Life Support guidelines. There have been some minor changes to CPR our courses have been updated to reflect this.
