Legal requirements: As an employer you have a legal obligation under the Health & Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981 and the Approved Code of Practise & Guidance (L74) to risk assess the first aid needs of your workplace in order to ensure that there is provided, such a number of suitable persons, equipment and facilities as is adequate and appropriate in the circumstances for rendering first aid to employees if they are injured or become ill at work. * AoFA First Aid at Work (HSE Approved courses) - 3 days or re-qualification 2 days. Complies with the Health & Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981 and the Approved Code of Practice L74 guidelines for the qualification of workplace First Aiders. For example book a initial ONSITE 3 day First Aid at Work course at your premises for 12 people - North West guide price £946 inclusive, that's only £78.84 per candidate. Some national providers charge over £230 per person. Re-qualification £781 for 12 persons ONSITE = £65.09 per candidate, as against over £145 charged by some national providers). You need a current certificate to do a renewal course - phone if necessary for advice. These courses includes materials, full colour work book, professional tuition and certification. (Theory exam, practical resuscitation exam and scenario based exam). They will require a suitable reasonable sized room for training & further smaller room (office) for the assessment on the final day. Candidates need to be willing to learn and capable of practical activities. These prices assume Mark delivers the course, using another trainer will increase the fee. NOTE: The initial First Aid at Work course changed on 1st October 2009 from 4 days to 3 days duration. List of open workplace First Aid at Work courses in Warrington: * AoFA Emergency First Aid at Work - 6 hours training, i.e. a one-day ONSITE course recommended and approved by the HSE. The minimum level of training for persons in low-risk workplace environments. Book a course at your business premises for up to 12 people - guide price £405, that's only £34 per candidate. Includes work book and certification. Courses from further afield from Warrington may need travelling allowance & possibly overnight accommodation. Emergency First Aid at Work courses Warrington* AoFA Paediatric First Aid (Two levels of qualification 6hrs and 12 hrs). This 12 hr course will suit childminders and staff involved in the EYFS. Meeting Ofsted / SureStart / Council standards. Guide prices for an ONSITE 12 people 6 hr course = £405. 12 hr ONSITE course at your nursery of other venue = £570. RTA are an Approved Training Provider for Warrington SureStart. This price is assuming Mark delivers the course, using another trainer will increase the fee. * Short 3 hour refreshers - Adult, Baby & Child Resuscitation, unconscious casualty management plus choking management - all ages. Ideal for refresher and HCP training. Approx cost £145 for 12 candidates on your premises. * A.E.D.
