First Aid & Health & Safety Courses

RTA specialise in the provision of a wide variety of first aid training courses. Personally Mark has been teaching first aid since 1996 for a national well known organisation. He is a recognised HSE First Aid at Work trainer / assessor and can provide various courses including HSE approved First Aid at Work and other courses e.g. Appointed Person, Baby and Child First Aid and even Manual Handling courses etc. Mark is a Warrington Surestart Approved Training Provider for First Aid at Work and Paediatric First Aid. Assessor services to other training organisations can be provided. Our prices are very competitive, excellent cost savings can be made if the courses can be run 'in house' at your workplace. For example training can be provided at nurseries, offices, hotels and leisure centres, companies can even club together with their neighbour's staff to provide 'pooled' training to make it more cost effective. Training out of office hours in evening and weekend periods is often possible.

FACT: As an employer you have a legal obligation under the Health & Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981 and the Approved Code of Practise & Guidance (L74) to assess the first aid needs of your workplace so that adequate provision is made for your employees. RTA provides the following training courses:

* HSE Approved First aid at Work - 4 days or re-qualification 2 days. Complies with the Health & Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981 and the Approved Code of Practice L74 guidelines for the qualification of workplace First Aiders. For example book a 4 day First Aid at Work course at your premises for 12 people - guide price Ł1390, that's only Ł116 per candidate. Some national providers charge over Ł200 per person. (Re-qualification Ł982 for 12 persons = Ł82 per candidate, as against over Ł145 charged by some national providers) This includes materials, work book, professional tuition and certification providing candidate achieves the end of course assessment. (Theory exam, practical resuscitation exam and scenario based exam). This will require a suitable reasonable sized room for training & further smaller room (office) for the assessment on the final day.

* HSE Appointed Person First Aid - 4 to 6 hours, i.e a one-day course recommended by HSE, in the new ACOP L74, as the minimum level of training for persons in low-risk workplace environments. Book a course at your business premises for up to 12 people - guide price Ł405, that's only Ł34 per candidate. Includes work book and certification.

* Paediatric First Aid (Two levels of qualification 6hrs and 12 hrs). The 12 hr course was approved by the Pre-School Learning Alliance and National Childminding Association ~ this course complies with Ofsted / Surestart / Council standards. Guide prices for 12 people 6 hr course = Ł405. 12 hr course = Ł570.

* Immediate Aid 6 hrs (Appointed Person including basic life support for children). Guide price Ł405 for 12 candidates.

* Sports First Aid 6 hrs: ECB Cricket, PGA Golf, RFU Rugby & Martial Arts Coach.

* Short 2 hour Adult, Baby & Child Resuscitation training. (Ideal refresher training).

* Emergency Responder (4 hr A.E.D. training (de-fibrillator). Increases the chance of surviving a cardiac arrest.
